Solid State Drives

Solid State Drives or SSDs are more commonly used now for both Servers and Desktop computers.  They are also widely used in laptops and mobile devices as there are no moving parts in SSDs, and less changes of failure for mobile computing.  

We highly recommend solid state drives for your computer as they process much faster than your normal hard drive, and we have experienced less failures in these devices versus the normal hard drive. 

We have implemented and used SSDs in Servers for very fast databases and application transactions.  We have EMR databases that run on SSDs, resulting in excellent speed results, and highly recommend them.  The SSDs, however, do come at a cost.  They are not as inexpensive as your normal hard drives, however we do see a huge performance boost with them, which will save you money with time.
