Your computer may be infected with malware or viruses. Use a malware scanner to remove these. Temp files can also cause this problem, which can be removed using a temp file cleaner. Also, run a  “chkdsk” to diagnose a potentially failing hard drive.

You may have forgotten the password. The caps lock on your keyboard may be on and needs to be turned off. If your issue is software related, re-installation or repair of software in “Add/Remove   Programs” may be necessary.

A power cycle of the router may solve the issue. If problems persist, your internet service provider may need to be contacted for further assistance.

The cable that is connected to the router/modem might be going bad. Changing that out may be a potential solution, as well as power cycling the router/modem.
